The Veterans Affiliated Council is a
non-profit umbrella organization consisting of Veteran
Organizations, Military Associations, their Auxiliaries, and
Patriotic Groups serving the Veteran Community since 1921.
The VAC activities consist
of active participation before the legislature on a regular
basis in regard to obtaining benefits and favorable legislation
pertaining to all Veterans. The VAC Honor Guard regularly
performs burial services for the funerals of Veterans. The VAC
has also consistently sponsored Memorial Day and Veterans Day
Parades around the Capitol to honor all Veterans and remind the
public of the service to their country that Veterans have
provided and continue to provide today. The VAC and the City of
Sacramento will be sponsoring the upcoming Veterans Day Parade
2004 to be held on Saturday, November 13, 2004.
While many Veteran
Organizations do not have the capability of representing their
members before government entities, being located in the Capital
of the state, the VAC fills this gap by taking on that
responsibility for all Veterans.
VAC meetings are held on the
second Wednesday of each month at the VFW Post #67 Hall, located
at 2784 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA. Meetings begins at
7:00PM.
